On a serious note, adjusting the character lighting option to brighten the character will effectively reduce the contrast of their skin/shadows in many lighting conditions, it might help - not sure, I've never experimented to see.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Just turn the gamma and brightness down all the way and play in the dark. It's like extra hard mode.

I play on a few alts, but I find lighting looks the worst on my elezen. I feel like it's partly because elezen's have like.. a bony kind of face, which I hate. Really wish there was an amyeric face type option for elezens.
