Wear it in an ironic manner instead then? :P

I love this... I really hope it's the outfit lol
Keep the outfit and give both hairstyles. No gender locks because I want the male one for my female Hyur. :p
Fun aside, I actually like the outfit but it's... underwhelming for the WoL. We're a frontline combatant. The outfit should reflect our activities ala Thancred and Y'Stola not Alphinaud, especially seeing it really only suits casters.
As long as it can go into the armoire it can look like whatever it wants xD
But I really dislike it. At least like others say tho - it could look good with other gearsets as a pick and mix.
Well majority of Final Fantasy Main Characters are not what we can call "Frontline Combatant" dressed anyways :p
I would not be surprised if we get more clothing like this once we head into Garlemald considering from what is said about the Garlean Empire their technology is more close to Sci-fi instead of Fantasy since they developed their civilization without Magic.
I wouldn't be surpised if the Intro the Garlean Expansion is the WoL sneaking into the Capital of Garlemald by a train and arriving at a Train Station. Along with finding Cars and wide Television screens on large buildings broadcasting new reports.
The outfits look really school uniform-y which is weird since all of our player characters are supposed to be adults.
Eh, Ashe, Balthier and Basch are tied as the main characters of FFXII. Especially Basch given that he was intended to be the main character originally and was planned to be the main character in the scrapped sequel to the game. One can argue that Gabranth, too, is on the same level as them given that he plays a major role in the game's story and features in a lot of the game's promotional material/is the figure on the front cover of the game.
As for the 'school' outfit it looks like something you'd see in FFVIII to me. I'll likely use it since it looks pretty good - and if it can be dyed, even better!
