How many retainers you pay for?

I pay for none, I like my sub being about $8/mo for 6 months up front X)

I added the extra 2 when they allowed us to rent them back in 2014 and then added 4 more (to the full 6 extra) when they allowed us to with 3.0.

Paying 6 months at a time I shudder each time the bill comes through because the extra retainers nearly double the cost, but they're so incredibly useful. I have 2 battle classes, 2 miners, 2 botanists and 2 fishers and they've saved me so much time and bought me back so many nice things on quick ventures... it almost feels a lot pay to win. I just wish there was a way to edit ALL their inventories at once to sort things better.

I have a second active account that I also play most days, but have resisted buying retainers for that. My third and fourth accounts are only subbed when I know I have a lot of workshop crafting to do (airship parts mainly) and don't want to bother FC teammates and they don't have any extra retainers either nor any plans to get them.

I pay for 2 extra. As a crafter, it can get quite tight, thankfully I have an alt in my FC to help. Been wanting to get a 3rd (total 5), but I'm waiting to see what inventory changes are happening with SB.

I have 1, which is used as a fc retainer. He holds house furniture, decorations, and sells stuff the airships bring back and stuff donated to the fc. I do that so I can keep the fc money separate from mine.

My normal 2 are enough for me. I'm from beta but I keep my inventory under control by organization. One holds my glam the other mats. I review the inventory once a month.

I have three currently, though I may opt to abandon one now that I'm working on an alt. Leveling everything to 60 just eats away at inventory space.

I usually pay for 2 extras, one containing glamour items and rare dyes, while the other stores some housing items and rare mats. I don't constantly change glamours and unless I am in a crafting spree I don't need them monthly, so sometimes I don't renew. I recently got a 3rd one to store Garo gear, but don't plan to renew this one.

That said, I wish I could manually chose which retainer to renew. Because if I want to renew just my 2nd, I am forced to renew the 1st too. Unless I am missing something...

I used to pay for one extra retainer, but cancelled it about 6 months ago. I found I just didn't need it THAT bad. I'm Legacy, so I get the free alts. Leveling them high enough to get retainers doesn't take that long, hubby and I just take turns dragging them through the dungeons.

I got 2 extra retainers. I originally just wanted them so I can do one of each (battle+3 gatherers), but I need the inventory nowadays.

I pay for 1 extra so I have one for monster drops, one for botany and one for mining.
