How about a token system for ranked Feast?

here we go with this crap again obviously ppl want to be the brown snowflake let them be the sheit snowflake just keep their dirty doggy paws off my pve assets and make them something else. also imo making things that will never be obtained again for a mode no one will wipe their arse too is a great way to make ppl try to join right? riiiight. yeah forever dead, forever wondering why.

Seriously coolboy, shut up, literally no one cares about what you're saying because you're always just trying to belittle the already small pvp community (that is still growing because of said limited time rewards/frontline mounts or titles or glamour gear that people actually want to get) you may not be one of them but stop trying to take it all down I swear to god, you have been doing this for so long now, and because of that so many people are just making fun of you because your ideas are stupid and sometimes just filled with jealousy because you weren't good enough to get S1/2 rewards, the pvp discord reached 1.1k members not long ago, and only a small portion of the pvp player base even use it, pvp is growing, don't ruin it, stop yourself and save what little dignity you have left.

And the few times where you come up with some reasonable ideas, you ruin it by belittling pvp / the pvp community further down the thread or come with outrageous ideas.

Out of 70+ mounts in the game Mentor mount is the rarest because it's new and hidden by insane grind. But the rest of rarest are PvP mounts.

Such a little amount of people play PvP that anything related to it is already ultra rare, only a few players per server have these mounts.

It's already exclusive to pvp regulars without any time limit to get them, no need to make it even more rare by timegates.
Not to mention they rarely if ever use these mounts because they don't participate in any PvE activity, they don't appear in overworld areas, I see them only afking in Limsa waiting for the next pop all the time.

Designing mounts for PvP regulars is only a waste of developer resources.

According to your original point, about mounts being "pure pve territory", you're shooting yourself in the foot by posting the census. Of the 70 existing mounts, 6 are from PvP. Given how miniscule a part PvP plays in this game, it has a disproportionately large amount of mounts obtainable through PvP content. Fancy that, maybe SE is encouraging PvP content through provision of rewards.

The fact that PvP mounts are rare has more to do with its popularity with the kind of playerbase we have. SE has tried, through providing different PvP content with varying objectives, to cater to different groups of people. The latest, as you know, features a more relateable PvE-experience (the reception to this new mode is a different discussion entirely). PvP activity continues, largely due to its small, but dedicated, community of regulars.

Regardless of this fact, if the existing--fully available--PvP mounts are rare (exclusive, by your wording), making the upcoming exclusive (as indicated by SE on the Feast promotion page) Top 100/30 mount "fully available" won't greatly (relatively) increase its occurrence. It will only serve to insult the, again, small but dedicated PvP community, and dumb down the hype surrounding the individual seasons we have right now. That's bad for the content. Providing the carrot that drives us is our incentive to win the competition. I say this as someone who is not in the top 100 this season, and probably won't make it. I'm totally cool with that.

I wear my S1 top 100 PvP gear on the only jobs I play, SMN and the occasional AST. I have different sets for DoL and DoH, respectively.

I have the Gloria-Class Airship as my mount for every job except DoL jobs, that use a plant for BTN (Cloud Mallow), a water birb for FSH (White Lanner), and a fiROCK birb for MIN (Rose Lanner).

I see other people occasionally on PvP mounts on the way to hunt monsters, so they're out there.

This kind of thought, to me, is disgusting. In any competition, there will be winners, and there will be losers. It's rewarding and motivating to have wins and losses both, especially if the competition is skill- or talent-based. The grand prizes are for the winners, there already exists consolation prizes in the form of accessories and titles, not to mention random minion drops, PvP-specific currency for non-competitive rewards (weapons/gear/music/minion), and PvE currency. There's even 2 seasons for similar (but not the same) rewards for a second chance. That's more than enough handouts, stop asking for more.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with "missable" content. You already have that with many event items/titles, all 1.0 stuff, collector's items that require something like initial release only, etc. You don't have a leg to stand on. :) (Ty Tira)

that my friend is a whole other matter. as those was for ppl who kept subing to a game that was total crap through and through. and so shall they keep their rewards for sticking with what i believed to be the obe of the worst mmos. but this is new and still going strong. as much as u too would like to have them at least i believe that has a logical reason as to why its not available to all.

No problem, I also want to comment that I think it is cute that you use different mounts depending on the Job you are currently.


To add to this point though, I have gotten a lot of comments asking about my Gloria airship when I use it. I tell them the feast, and ask the player if they want to play an 8v8 feast match with me to try it out (during times when queues pop). Sometimes they like it and I see them in future games. I've also had people comment on my Platinum Wolf title (even though it is going to be completely useless after this season with how easy diamond is, I honestly feel like all of the work I did to get platinum S2 is wiped away with the changes they made in S3. It is really a terrible feeling :/) and have later seen them in ranked feast matches trying to get the rewards themselves. Sounds like you get negative responses all the time, but I have seen a lot more positive things come out of my exclusive rewards than negative things, at least for the PvP community.

We are suffering through bad design decisions, slow balance changes, and GMs not punishing wintrading. Don't have a double standard, we are the afterthought of content. SE could get its act together and make a PvP team of more than two developers, maybe by 5.0 PvP will be more streamlined. I don't agree with your point in the first place, but for sake of argument let's say I do. Then what? When PvP is finally fixed and thought about, everyone who didn't play when it was an afterthought gets to get my rewards? No thanks. I refuse to be a participation trophy, helicopter parent in the future, therefore I won't defend these ideals now. If that makes me a "sadist, selfish, and ignorant", so be it. I'll just have to balance my selfishness with my continued donated time to food shelters and working for green tech companies.

I agree and disagree. It would be nice to be able to get anything eventually, BUT it's also nice to have stuff that other people will never get and you can always be proud of. For example, I was around the 4th person on my server to get the Night Pegasus mount. That to me is what makes it impressive. But every time I see someone else with the same mount, I feel it has less and less value as a status symbol. It's like gold vs iron. People like gold things because not everyone can have gold things, while there's enough iron in the world that pretty much anything can be made with iron.
