Stupid reason to report someone

That Report gets thrown away anyway into the "Different-Playstyles" - Trash Can. That's all and nothing more will happen.

If someone tries to force you playing the Style they want, this is actually a Report worth, but nothing else dependend on if you want to DPS or not.

If they struggle to clear something and people ask him to DPS to help a little a bit, people shouldn't be ashamed or crying "im a healer not a dps".
God damnit dude, that's a team base game, if your ask you to do something at least give it a try.
OP talked about A9 to A12N, there is a lot of avoidable damages in these raids (except A11) and a lot of time you can DPS as a healer.

I would never understand why people don't wanna try to play the game in the way he has been designed <.<

You might be less bored with the game if you were playing actively (DPSing) instead of passively.

I never stated you shouldn't DPS as a Healer, I do in fact push myself to the Limit trying to squeeze out every Damage I can before turning Cleric off and top everyone off.
Fact is, Healers are given the Tools to deal Damage. Using that or not is up to someone else, which you sadly can't force.

You'd be quite surprised how many times I've been kicked out of ARF due of turning on Cleric Stance, keeping the Party alive still while melting the Trash Groups down.

Playing a Healer in FFXIV means you meet two sides of the Community : The ones that do Complain that a Healer deals Damage and the other do not Complain while the Healer does so, and vice versa.
Growing a Felt is needed if you play a Tank or Healer in this Game, if you do not have that, good luck, People will always criticize you for the Playstyle you choosed.

People that tell you what to do, like not DPS'ing as a Healer, believe too much in the Holy Trinity and need to get rid of that Horse they sit on, it's not a good Horse and eventually will throw 'em off sooner or later.

That's why i love to prove casuals im DPSING more than them' as a healer in my 60 duties ^-^
FFXIV players always amazed with their trashtalk when they're actually the worst ones in the parties !

I guess 1/3 of their core skills is just a 'bonus'.
On practice healer DPS is a good chunk of party damage which makes everything smother. For example you can skip lapis lazuli in A11 if healers are dpsing, and they'll have to heal through it if they are not. They are making it only harder for themselves by being lazy. Not to mention no serious static will ever take such healers.

He can report you for not doing damage 24/7 and nothing will happen. If you start flaming him or start insulting him, he can report you and you will probably meet a GM in the GM jail.

This was debunked not to long ago, by Yoshi-P himself. He said that when an end-game raid is put in, they do factor in Healer DPS at the beginning. You literally cannot finish some raids without it, till your group gears up higher with the most recent release of available higher-tier gear. After that, then the healers can slack off and not dps if they want, because the rest of the raid will be able to make up for their "inefficiency."

This game is not coded for healers to stand back and only heal. Period. There is never so much incoming damage that they need to hover over their party just to make sure everyone stays alive. That and with some healing skills having 'baked in' damage as well, should have ended the "I only heal" belief ages ago. Even the Hall of the Novice says: "When there isn't anything left to heal, it's ok to throw in some damage." Why in the world would it say that if the devs only wanted you to wait for someone to take damage for you to cure? Non-dps healers are a plague that really do need to be stamped out sooner, than later.

Don't forget: "I don't move out of the telegraphs as a DPS. It's a choice I make." I mean.. their only purpose is to do damage right? Not to avoid/reduce the amount of healing they need. Those "I only heal." healers should be able to make up for it, right? :D

What is the point in playing this game if you don't even try to optimize your gameplay?

Now, hear me out. When you give it a successful try, you stop bringing conflict into duty finder.

I'd like to share the best suited example from 2 days ago on my i215 scholar alt:
43 minutes in-progress 60-roulette. I ended up in Fractal Continuum. They despaired because their healer had left them after multiple failed attempts at the last boss encounter, and they felt the DPS didn't hold up. I love these! I get bonus tomes and finish my roulette in 3-ish minutes. I don't think I left cleric stance more than once. Positive experience.

You get the picture? Be the best you can be. Don't be like the healer that left duty. Be the one that came after and did things right. From dungeons to extreme primals to savage raid.
