Possible Solution To Terrestrial Mount Flying?

Penalized, in this sentence, is a hyperbolic statement.

I think the bear mount should have a giant Red balloon tied to it in refence to Winnie the pooh :D

There's no penalization, they are just different types of mounts, hotkey both and done. If you really enjoy ground mounts you'd be pushing for a way to make them fly, not this, this fixes nothing, we'll still be airborne most of the time and without our favorite mounts.

Just give them lots of chipotle and a lighter. Flying bears and lions everywhere.

I know what we can do for goobue, it could inflate itself like a balloon and float through the air:)

For others like war bear I think a better solution is to let them jump very high in the stormblood/HW areas and make them run faster than flying mounts can fly. If they can jump to most heights then not being able to fly won't be a bad thing for them.



Anyone? Super jumps for the ground mounts? And faster moving speed?

That's the issue we have now. There's not really a way to make them fly. Unless you want to use the suggestions here? But they have to be jokes..

Seriously, how would a drake fly? An elbst? It takes way too much effort to try and think of something.

I understand your point but it'd be much better to need only one hotbar slot instead of two.

dismount -> mount -> fly -> dismount -> mount

could be changed to

mount -> change -> fly -> change

I would rather a whimsical idea like the Adamantoise than an option to change to a different mount. Gives XIV a bit more character. :)

I also like the "joke" ideas, balloon on the bear all the way.

I also like the idea to give ground mounts faster running speed so they have some advantage to match the flyers and a reason to use them.
