The problem I am having is that there aren't enough people even queuing for the feast that the DF sits at more then 30 min and you never get a match. With the queues as long as they are it would make sense for the mount to be obtained from other means.

Can I request that if the dev team decides to make alternate ways to obtain this mount that they wait until well into 4.0? Having the minion be obtainable by others BEFORE the feast season is even finished is shameful to those who work towards feast prizes.
If people want it so bad, at least respect that people are actively working towards it in pvp, so if you don't want to do that, you should at least have the decency to wait. -

The problem with threads like this, and any 'alternative reward' suggested is you can guarantee we will see another thread by someone who wants that reward but doesn't PVP saying "Make (Said Reward) available to more than just the top 100 PvPers. I have all these alternative suggestions of stuff I personally don't want". Its a potentially endless cycle till they offer something no one wants at which point the reward is useless.
PvP's ranking system is broken and should be the primary thing people are complaining about. Hell, I would also love more stuff to actually spend Wolf Marks on. However the thing about exclusive rewards for competitive content is they by their very nature they are going to be something people who cant get them want and are envious about. -

Well... you should of all just gotten into this thing when it first started. That is the way all achievement awards for PvP work. I personally have only one freecompany pvp mount. I have none of the ADSes nor do I complain on here that SE has to make it available some other way. You don't like it..move on.
But as someone has already said.. SE will cave in because they don't want to anger the non-pvper and casuals. -

not one day goes by without the pvp community being shat on by SE, and this is probably going to be another one of those cases. i understand you, but this mindset that you should be able to get literally EVERYTHING in an mmo without the necessary skills is pathetic and pretty anti-mmo ish, you get what your skills can get you, idk why ffxiv has to be the babysitting pegi3 mmo type where everyone gets handed out welfare minions/mounts/gear/etc to people who essentially do not deserve it. if they do the same trick with the mount like they did with the minion there will essentially be no point in doing feast and they may as well just delete it because it doesnt really look like they care about it anymore. I'll be all for removing mount as top 100 reward (and i believe i dont speak for myself) IF SE CAN ACTUALLY MAKE A COMPARABLE REWARD INSTEAD OF EARRINGS. -
