Proportionate Bodies

The developers do not want to remodel armour for different butt sizes, so they removed the butts from the characters and replaced with whatever it is that we have right now. This same lazi.. problem is the reason why the developers do not want to add races with bodytypes that do not look like a Hyur, this is why we will not have Ivalice Viera, Beastman race or races that arent part of the FFXIV, so no digitigrade, which makes me worry for the future of this game when new races will be Hyur + something.

Since they are dropping the PS3 and Stormblood will have 3x the budget then Heavensward, I realy hope they suprise us (in a good way.)

I can only agree on the butts. The busts of all characters are completely fine they don't need to be bigger. As it is now, being adventurers, it actually fits to have lean characters and not characters that look like Kim Kardashian. As crazy as the stuff is in this games, they kept the character models realistic. I like that.

I have to admit that it makes me sad to hear they are unwilling to do so. Especially since they must be making a pretty penny off this game. It's successful as far as i can tell. So is it laziness?

The dev team is far from lazy. It's called priorities. In order to develop the level of content they do in the small amount of time they have the decision was made to save time and resources. Every 3 months the game adds a number of new outfits that need to fit on every character. The miniscule change(if at all) that was made to miqote butts is grossly exaggerated and has been blown out of proportion.

Male Miqo'te don't have a butt to speak of. It's just legs and then back. On top of the ken doll treatment.

While we're on this topic, can we ditch the permashoes.

I hate heels, they're ugly. :(

I'm honestly surprised at how civil this topic is being. My opinion, sure, it wouldn't hurt to have bodies that are a little more realistic as far as curves go. I know most people that play these types of games, myself included, want an avatar as beautiful as we can make it, but the way the game seems to cater to a lot of people, I'm surprised there aren't many options for more heavier set bodies except for male Roe's.

They say this and then add a bust slider, which didn't exist in 1.0.

I'm not changing my race just because others can be taller and there's nothing that says I can't be if SE enables the option!...

Sliders are precisely for that purpose, did you think males can have bigger bulges and females bigger rears without adjusting them with sliders!?...

Sliders would be the easier way to solve the problem while giving players more control on their looks, otherwise they'd have to modify the models which I doubt they're willing to do!...
