Never really had an issue the mechanics are pretty simple modify your squad by training them depending on mission and level up. Most of my squad I replaced with new if new were higher level. All 50 , max rank and most with script and material and it's all about numbers.

Its a lot like garrison stuff was in WoW. Seems neat at first, but becomes a huge pain in the butt after a while.

I just find it lame how lower level missions you sometimes need higher stats then say level 40 missions. Makes no sense at all
Well I finally got the level 40 mission unlocked, but I cannot progress it as I'm 20 points off on the Mental stat and looking at the training there's no way of me getting all THREE stats meeting the condition due to the fact if I increase 20 on two stats I go down 40 points in one stat and I'm right back to where I started.
I'm going to level up the Squadron a bit more, but it sucks you don't have more "control" on distributing stats to your team.
My top four are over level 40, but the other four are barely over 30 so it will take so time to get there. Eventually I'll clear this.
After Level 40 Mission you get promoted to First Lieutenant for your GC, right?
Yes, beating the level 40 mission promotes you.
I beat it on 40 or 41, basically sum up all the points you have, no matter if in the right stat or not, and see if it adds up to enough to beat the mission yet. If it is, it's nothing but some simple math to figure out the base stat changes you need to make.
In my case, I just went full dps on it so I could drop that stat to zero and focus all points into mental (with a side of the tank stat) and didn't need to send any of my lower level healers with them.
I see... I might try that after they return from their mission tomorrow. I'll keep at it until I get them where I want to clear the level 40 mission.
By the way is the capped level for Squadrons also 60 like your character or 50?
they cap at lvl50
mine beat the Lvl40 promotion quest around Lvl43-45 iirc, just keep spamming the comprehensive training things to level them up
That's what I've been doing. Trying to level them up as much as possible.
I guess I'll try the all DPS team and train their Mental stat to see if it will be enough
EDIT: Well... goddamn. I can't increase their stats further using the Training method. Best I can do is level them up and I've used up all of my chances to do so, so I'll have to wait tomorrow. So close, yet so far... this is kinda irritating.
