You're WHM, you're supposed to do DPS like Holy even you're not in cleric stance so tank's HP not drained. So don't be lazy ass. *Eats "cleric stance" bait*

Could you imagine just how low the quality of DPS checks would be? Did a few runs of Sophia EX with a WHM friend of mine. We each did over 900 DPS each. thats 1800 DPS that we contributed towards the 9K raid damage. We contributed to 20% of the total DPS of the fight. Could you imagine how many groups would fail average content if their DPS is below the requirements? Content is not balanced around Healers, but Healers have the power to make up for the shortcomings of DPS. Remove Healer DPS? Sure. Don't change a damn thing about any DPS enrage. See how many quit playing DPS. Lets also see those world firsts take a couple weeks.
Healers are there to keep you off the ground and pick you back up, but this cannot be a full time job in FFXIV. There will always be a secondary job of healers. If not DPSing for themselves, creating finer MP management skills, understanding of the value of GCD and OGCD, understanding the rate of damage, and further resource choices (Healing assize vs DPS assize or Engery drain vs Lustrate) creating a depth to healing, then way it is, is much more fulfilling than spamming buffs just for the sake of busywork. (imagine a damage up buff on the GCD that wore out 5 seconds after you used it.)
Cleric Stance is wonderful the way it is. Let me help my party. Don't gimp me to lower the skill ceiling.
Im very tired. I probably didnt make any sense.
Oh my god this one is too good:
You think this because you're bad and ain't abble to do it right ?

Cause actually if healers don't dps roulettes would take hours since the majority of dps you got in duties right now just want a carry. Plus the fact every dungeon or normal raid don't need that much heal, you have to dps.
Posting it here: This game is clearly designed in a way where everyone have to dps
The main issue here is how bare-bones the healing mechanics are. I don't think healer's being able to add DPS as a way to optimize is bad.
What I do think is bad is that the actual healing is so simple that the sign of a good healer is their ability to dps. I think that should be one of the signs, sure but it'a really the definitive one in this game.
Healing itself should be more interesting with more synergy between abilities than proccing Cure II/Benefic II. Healing should have some more sustained rotations with less twitch healing and spike damage. Being good at healing itself should exist on a wider spectrum and that healing should be needed (not overhealing).
If Cleric Stance is vital because healing is a complete chore without it, then it's a bandaid on a larger wound. I think Healer dps can have a place but I think the dynamics of healing need to be looked at overall when DPS overshadows healing accomplishments at higher levels.
"Cleric stance is for try hards and nerds who need to get a life."
Aaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
*takes a deep breath....*
AAAAAAAAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha!!!
We're trying so hard to play this game by managing this super simple 5 sec CD guys. WE NEED JOBS AND FRIENDS.
Are you trolling?
Of course not.
Even lore wise healers are damage dealers as well. -glares in the general direction of Sylphie from the WHM questline-
If you just heal and watch TV it gets kinda boring ^_^
I stopped playing healer in this game because I find myself doing damage more then healing. If I wanted to deal damage ill just stick to my smn and BLM, and I do just that with much higher numbers haha
As far as removing it...idk lol Yoshidas response at fanfest (when asked about cleric stands in pvp) was kinda funny...he was like, don't you healers want to heal!? lol
Casting physick once every 10 seconds in a duty is so engaging, why would anyone want to use cleric stance
