I need to second all of those complaints in this thread.
I think we've waited long enough for all those items but you guys just decided to make us wait even longer, pay more than NA and JP, fulfill ridiculously stupid tasks (sending a picture of ourselves to get the last item??) and make other countries in the EU (and AUS) wait even LONGER...
This is just not nice. And incredibly unfair. :(
I'm not a fan of the glamours and stuff, but I respect people wanted these items too.
All I can think is why... why not just put the items on mogstation? Why are you asking your community to buy trash material to get some glamours, and a chocobo? Sending them a picture of you? Why do they need your picture? lol.
I can't even... whoever came up with this in SE, must be getting a cut.
this is outrageous. my country not even listed in upcoming event. to SE, ASEAN countries not existed or something?
i rather buying it on mog station or FFXIV osts to get the items. u get direct profit from my purchases. how is that?
This is the worst campaign done for this game. The magazine is a waste for majority of folk, the 3 month wait is too long AND I have to experience a panic attack to get a mount? No. I don't want this.
Oh please, oh lord, don't let the New Zealand one be like this or worse.

And it's funny because during the NA Amazon promotion people in my FC were arguing about whether preordering then cancelling the codes would have any repercussions (of which I was on the side that it would). If I hadn't left the FC I would very smugly rub the announcement for this in their faces.
I... Honestly don't mind. Everyone acts like the magazine has killed their mother, but really it's only like 15£ for the chocobo mount, the atires and the masks and it comes with a free magazine! I don't see how it's worse than buiying a million bottles of water. As for not being comfortable about posting your own picture? They don't need your face, they just need proof that you're a person and not just a copy-paste bot on the net. Just wear a mask, or end your picture at your neck. I don't think that anyone will object.
Adding my voice to the complaints, this is ridiculous.
I don't even understand how they could not have seen this backlash coming.. Just put them on Mogstation and we'll give you the money directly, nobody wants the stupid magazine. Nobody wants to wait 3 months. Nobody wants to send in a picture of themselves.
Note: Separate campaigns offering the same in-game items are currently being planned for those residing in: France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Nordic territories. Further details on these campaigns will be posted at a later date.
sucks to be uk. Going to wait patiently for the nordic and and pray its not as horribble as this uk version
I am not european but on behalf of my european friends who were anxiously waiting for this promotion, this is beyond ridiculous.
Just add it to the Mogstation, how hard could it be?
Almost everyone in UK/EU who wants these is willing to pay SE directly for the items, but we're given a UK magazine. As someone who works in these stores, you always end up finding the magazine sleeve ripped open within days. Not only will people have to buy the magazine, but the code will not be guaranteed to work because people can just steal/jot the code down and place the magazine back, but IF we actually get all three codes, we have to send a picture of OURSELVES to strangers to complete the collection? Seriously? If I cover my face/identifiable features would my picture be void?
This is a seriously bad promotion that will backfire tremendously. You thought it was bad when people were buying the wrong things and not getting codes? How about buying the right thing and STILL not getting the codes.
