I've got it! The Mhach didn't die they escaped into another dimension where time does not exist! Having enslaved Atomos to do their bidding they constructed Aetherytes to spread across Hydaelyn's past present and future; roughly at the beginning of each Astral Era. They're goal? to steal gil from adventures across the ages and obtain the ultimate victory through time compression. And of course; they are all Lala!

Meteor and Ozma, both examples of the ultimate in Time/Space magic. (woulda just said time magic but I dunno how common knowledge it is that Time Mage in japanese is closer to Time/Space)

The thought that he sucks you into a black hole got me thinking a little. One of the theories that at the center of a black hole is a worm hole. What if, instead of being a causal anomaly, Ozma is actually just a physical worm hole? It sucks us in and we're met with....stuff. Weird stuff. Incomprehensible-to-the-human-mind stuff. It didn't eat Nym, it just threw it somewhere else in the universe via a fold in the Void. This is all bypassing the assumption that the WoL is immune to the effects of spaghettification and other physics nonsense that renders human bodies incapable of still being called human bodies. Oh, and also assumes that the WoL remains sane on the other side of all this.

And their leader is Rowena ! That explains how she always get to be at the "good place" for gils and how she knows about the look of antic stuff, she travels througt time thanks to Ozma !

And then you get killed by a enormous meteor if that is not a perfect defense weapon I don't know what else is. almost like a creepy version of a moth lamp :S

What if Mhach were actually enslaved by the moogles? The possibility of dreadful moogles that destroyed nym as a prank or even a mistake since the red button glowed in the same shiny color as the moogle balls, and they just eradicated nym.

Like: your moogleness, the communication system is up, you just need to push the button.

Maybe it's ancestor of ADS? Both looks like ball so...

Not sure if this has been covered before but I feel like Ozma probably sucked up the part of Nym that was over in Outer La Noscea, there's all that open nothingness in the Floating City of Nym area where there's just floating rocks and such left. Seems like something Ozma could have caused, assuming there was anything there to begin with.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too: that Ozma was used to devour Nym itself. Maybe this was what the "calamity" that the SCH weapon was used against? Though it does mention an aetheric wind disaster, so it could be something else

The Allagan drones also appear in teardrops and cubes. Not to mention Allag Pre-dating Mhach and the Drones lacking the ability to transport you into other dimensions (at least that we can see)
