Gotta remember, as well, that the Lodestone is viewable by people who have never played FFXIV. We could add an Alfgar style herald into the game who stood in town and shouted the headlines of the latest issue, but he'd only be giving everyone news they already knew because the GMs, as far as lore is concerned, got that information from the players in the first place.

Regardless, I love the real-time GM mechanic, and the journalists crack me up big time. I hope they stick around and keep writing for The Lodestone, whether it's for the sh!ts and giggles of the players or little "this is what you're missing!" announcements to lurkers, even if they decide to bring in more "previews of characters to come" GMs like with Legatus van Darnus and Urianger.
