You were right the whole problem was with me being fair weather bird. Once i changed out speedy recovery for super sprint that negated weather/terrain I was able to beat it no problem even with low cunning. The race really does favor foul weather birds, esp tranquil with all the swamp you run through despite it being sunny weather.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you are rdy for it. Being able to do it but always being beaten SHOULD make you strive to improve so you can overcome this challenge. Not complain about it. if it was only unlocked when you can beat it easily, where is the fun or challenge in that? Do you like everything served to you on a silver platter? that's no fun.

I wasn't saying that it should be easy, I was saying that it should be possible. I had to have at least a pedigree 2 chocobo before I could beat it, but it unlocks as soon as your first chocobo gets to rating 41. Even at pedigree 2, my chocobo's rating was at least 61 when I beat the first challenge because the 2nd one was already open to me. I also found the 2nd one to be easier than the first. I still haven't been able to beat the third challenge, and I'm on pedigree 4 now.

The challenges are fun. They shouldn't be easy. If they were easy, what fun would that be?

What build is your chocobo? I won the 271 challenge first try with my chocobo dash III and increased stamina III chocobo

OMG THANK YOU!!! I personally don't understand what everyone is talking about using all these other abilities... I also use Choco Dash3 and Stamina 3 and i won it super easily...

As a personal note i also don't understand why people are putting so much importance on cunning... Cunning is my lowest ability at 303 as i have not put any extra points in to it...

Mmm, I haven't trained my cunning at all and got 325 cunning. I trained max speed, endurance, and stamina ( always use the grade 3 food peps!). If you train acc, you just end up burning your stamina. I think my chocobos final stats are something like 500 speed, 500 stamina, 500 endurance, 325 cunning and 325 acc.( my comp is broken so these numbers are based on memory) RNG has an effect on the untrained stats, my brother has more acc on his and less cunning than my chocobo when trained the same way. I can usually sprint an entire race, and if I run out of stamina I have the 3 seconds of max speed still from chocobo dash 3 :) ( my chocobo is a soot black chocobo called Shadow Storm who likes foul weather)

I don't think Max Power is any harder than Teioh or Star Breaker to beat, and I don't think you'd need a perfectly custom tailored choco to beat challenge 15. I have a fair weather, relatively high cunning choco that I frequently use to race the costa track with and the challenge wasn't difficult. Just pick skills that improve your choco's strength or cover its weakness, like super sprint for a low cunning + fair weather choco; recovery + heal for lots of stam; etc. If in doubt, you can always appeal to rng for a hero's tonic ^_^
