Aetherflow gives mana back at a %, the more pie you have, the more mana you get back, also it helps black mages. I'd rather have a pie bonus than a mind bonus, but having both would be ideal.

And if all healers have MND bonus they won't want WHM/SCH composition because AST has damage increasing abilities and WHM don't.
To be honest, most people just don't want AST/SCH together because they work different than what they've become used for their whole 2.x life. And also because SCH gets a bit less room to deal damage when there is an AST given certain fights and progression.
How would the following line up with different party compositions:
One tank - Vitality ; second different tank - Strength
One healer - Mind ; second different healer - Piety
One caster - Int ; second different caster - Piety
STR using physical class - Strength
DEX using physical class - Dexterity
I know there is a bit of doubles but would that be a bad thing?
considering we already technically have doubles [i.e mnk gives str and drg gives str], what youve suggested as a complete rework/adjustment to the party bonus system would be the best change overall.
You get your main stats in 4-man no matter what
DF 8-amn is as random chance as ever
Pre-made 8man can gain full bonus easily without having to worry to much about comp since most wont double stack
and if they do there are other ways to bring the bonus with that system.

I think you mean TP. If there was a stat affecting to that value I would have put it I to my lineup but as if the moment it's just 1000, always.
As for what my suggestion would mean to established 8 man group. It would bring all 6 bonuses on nearly every set that adheres to the "2 tanks, 2 healers and no double jobs" rule that's in place for the LB refill now. (The only I can think of now that wouldn't bring DEX would be, BLM, SMN, MNK and DRG but then again, no one would need DEX either. And most groups bring BRD/MCH) More personal setups might need to juggle a bit but still get all stats they benefit from.

Yeah well that was the point of party bonus right ? Job diversity incentive.
So I hope Square hear us out on this one because I don't think it'd be so difficult to implement and would remove a lot of tears :)
