Actually, they're Hebrew. Anyone who's played Tales of the Abyss will see the attack and add names as weirdly familiar, and that's because both are lovingly copypasting from the Kabbalah, which is also the originator of the Sephirot.

Fun fact: the "bennu" adds in T12 are also Hebrew: it's one of a few Hebrew names for the Greek "phoenix." The overahbuhndahnce of "h"s evehrywhere is mehrlehy an ahrtihfahct of rohamnihzihng Hebrew, a phonetic style that (best guess) was emulated for the Dravanian tongue for the sake of not sounding generically Latin like made-up-absurd-percentage of constructed fantasy languages generally do.

i just realized the cs after you beat sephirot can't be watched at the the in and since i skipped it yesterday i now have no clue what actually happened. can anyone give me a summary pls?

The moment that Aymeric mentions about having a drink after the peace conference, and just thr WoL remembing things that happened. Omg very well Yoshi, very well.

Also I really have a bad feeling that we might have not choise and we will Estenien at the end.

Well for my part at least, I'm going to miss Aymeric when the story moves away from Ishgard. (hypotheically, If he did fall for the WoL, I wouldn't expect him to survive it. I like Aymeric and I really don't want him to be Hauchefant 2.0. Their backgrounds are already similar.)

Unukalhai faces off Regula, who has aspirations for the Triad, and Krile confronts Unukalhai about his goals and how he views the Warrior of Light.

Edit: Finally finished Alex tonight after work.

Yeah, so, that's creepy. The ability to control time? To calculate the future and move through space-time? That's potentially a much larger issue than Alex sucking up aether.

Also, the literal mind rape.

This isn't going to end well for anyone (except us, really. Actually, thinking of it that way, we're a bit absurd. People's lives are being ruined by Alexander and we're enjoying being rewarded with shiny new equipment. Yeah.).

Fun battles, though.

The WoL seems to refuse his advances, if advances are indeed what they are. I just got the impression from how he wants to have a drink with us and Thancred's observation that he lit up in joy when we said we'd fight alongside him. Or how he said he couldn't thank us enough but darn well intended to try. I might be misreading things, I am very tired.

Speaking of the Fortemps family, this was a surprisingly Emmanellain heavy patch and I really enjoyed seeing him develop more as a character. I felt for the poor guy.

I'll say it... I'm hoping there is a way to save Minfilia, perhaps with Maota's Eye. I really enjoyed this patch, I felt it told a very good story, had some very cool fight. (The Bull of Ala Mhigo must have been terrifying with two arms), it was fun to see Pipin again. A bit disappointed the other city state leaders had no lines.

OK, had time at work to collect my thoughts.

On "The Word of the Mother"

So, Hydaelyn called Minfilia back into Y'shtola's Flow for the sole purpose of pulling her to the Aetherial Sea and having her sacrifice herself? This seems... shady. Anyone who still thinks Hydaelyn's not treating us like tools (or chess pieces) had best wake up. Minfilia was in no danger - what was the purpose of having her get swept up in Flow and keeping her in the Aetherial Sea? Getting a mouthpiece? Hydaelyn never had trouble speaking to us before... and once our Blessing was restored, has not had trouble since. Something's not right...

Her story, while all we have to go on, is also very lacking detail. "Zodiark got power hungry, so I banished him" is... way, way too simplistic to be the whole truth. "Keep fighting and foiling the Ascians"... our mission is not changed. Yet, I cannot ignore our Echo flashback into the Warriors of Darkness' memories, with them being told that killing the Ascians will not change fate.

Damn it... as always, we need more information. But... if Minfilia really is gone, then... I take great issue with that, doubly so given the shady circumstances of her "sacrifice," and while I don't want to doubt the Mothercrystal or turn my blade on her...

Estinien-Nidhogg

Even more apparent that he's a specter / shade / ghost / etc. now than ever. Any normal dragon cannot switch between a human and dragon form - they're just dragons. Estinien-Nidhogg, however, can switch between forms at will, and the Quest Log continues to refer to him primarily as a shade.

Pry the eyes off him... or just destroy them. We can save Estinien... we have to.

Sephirot
-Yes, most / all of his attacks are named from Kabbalah. Including his super, Ain Soph Aur (it's not spelled that way in-game but I forget exactly how it is spelled and I'm too tired to fight the bastard right now. Ein Sof Oohr? I think?). The name "Sephirot" itself is taken from Kabbalah, so it's hardly surprising.

So, can we expect Zurvan (the Demon) and Sophia (the Goddess) to have lots of Zoroastrian / Greek named attacks, respectively?

And I still have Wind-up Nero. At least until he gets too annoying with banging that Mjolnir of his around and I shove him in a dresser drawer like damn Furby. Getting that little toy was worth keeping MGP... it's a nice way to lift spirits, just a little, because Gods know the Warrior of Light could use a hug.

Alexander tomorrow, maybe.
