I'll probably be that guy that never talks or does anything and just becomes a senpai to be able to watch the drama in senpai chat. I mean think about it, the first time a DRG asks for advice and someone says it's their job to tank the floor and not to worry about anything else? Somuchpopcorn

I shall teach them to always protect their investments and to never trust a court-appointed lawyer.
I'm going to do what I've always done:
Ensure I'm knowledgeable and accurate before I tell them something
Teach appropriate skills/strategies for appropriate levels
Be there when they need someone capable for content new to them
Offer first hand help when they need it, remain on standby when they don't need it (or will learn better through non-intervention)
Motivate, help them network with other players/mentors, and hopefully inspire them to not limit themselves and one day become mentors themselves
Pretty much just ask how they would like to do something. If they would like to try for themself, sure no problem. If they would like help and advice prior, no problem. Granted involving rotations and tips for healing and tanking, I'll just provide what I can for them to correct issue or make small adjustments. I don't want them to come in to a brand new game and expect to be perfect from the start.
I was fairly excited for the idea of mentors when I first heard someone suggest it some time ago. However, with everything I've seen of the program - I've decided to opt out and won't be mentoring anyone. I hope that the program works well and the mentees accept the words of wisdom, such as:
