I'm ambivalent about my weapon's personality developing. Sure it's all young and innocent now but before long it'll be a surly adult, keeping a beady eye on my rotation and offering nothing but relentless criticism.

Ok, so after you invest all 240 points, the Anima complains about feeling very heavy and Ulan mentions that it has reached the absolute limits of its power and a vessel must be made immediately or it will fade away. Once the new weapon is crafted, the Anima is surprised how light it feels all of a sudden and Gerolt and Ardashir can actually see the Anima. The Anima sees how overjoyed Ardashir is and thinks something is "wrong", suggesting to the Warrior of Light that perhaps they should make a new weapon for Ardashir and transfer him to it. It doesn't understand the concept of joy yet. Below is the latest journal entry regarding the events.

... it was kind of interesting. The Anima insisted on growing stronger despite it being risky, and it seems to develop a personality as you go on. I'm curious as to whether or not its statements change depending on what stats you level up, but unless they nerf the quest into the ground there's no way I'm doing that again. (I'd like the MCH gun, depending on what the 240 ver. looks like, but I've not seen anyone with one.)
Nah, my Anima pretty much acted the same way of wanting to grow stronger for my own sake and I used the WHM relic.
Well I figured as much, since the halfway point is where the Anima starts expressing its own will to grow stronger for you and occurs regardless of what class you're on.
What I meant was the quotes that show up when you look at it with the Anima Glass or use the sand, i.e. my Anima started saying stuff like "More... I must have more." "Will we return to the woman soon? I wish to use more sand." etc. I doubt it's different, but inquiring minds gotta know!
I'll try and keep a running tally of responses and update later - right now, with the Bard weapon, at 18 points in (yeah, yeah I'm behind on it)...she says things like:
"When will we use the sand again?"
"Should I become swifter, or perhaps more attentive?"
"Have I...changed somehow?"
Right now seems to cycle through just those three.
Just as long as they don't have the Allagans being the ones that created them, enough of that plot device already.
They're hybrid Allagan tech, according to Gerolt, made with some input from the nodes around Azys Lla. It would be a much bigger deal if he could make something like that without needing enough alcohol in his system to kill an ordinary man.
