To be fair that one is probably because Odin's is very old content now and a lot of people (everyone I know anyway) has already beaten him multiple times and got everything they wanted from the his drop. I personally have everything and 35 spare mantles left over too :( Some new loot in that one would be nice.

Didn't they buff Odin to level 60 as well? I thought I heard that somewhere. They thought to change the fight, but didn't think to give you a new incentive to do the fight. Brilliant.

Was around when Odin spawned once, had no idea where it spawned and kept asking for invite to group but never got any, so I went back to mine ore. :(

Yes I am pretty sure you are right and he has been buffed since his original incarnation, but without new rewards/reasons for players to actually beat him (if they have everything they want) they should probably lower him back to his previous level (although that would then make him a joke so...) :S

Honestly, Behemoth's PF has never really been that full over the last 6 months - even shorty after HW launch at prime time you would be lucky to find 10 entries...some of which were just advertisements for selling items or people looking for statics.

He only goes up to 60 if you beat him multiple times. Since no one does him, last time I saw him on Cactuar, he was Level 50... and he melted with only one group of 60s.

Log ins are probably down on all North American data centers if Balmung is any guide. Hell we have even had a few random times when character creation was up and it wasn't after maintenance or any down time. The game has a lot of players frustrated from 3.0 content. That is probably lowering player base overall.

Having players move around in current content is hampered by. Leves are even worse then ever. Fates only seem to work in three HW zones. Casual crafting was stabbed in the back by new game designs. Hunts were tweaked but never improved on and all they did to get people to do it was throw stuff at it instead of reworking(improving) the system. Half a year in they have only been able to add one daily quest hub and it only has 3 quests that can mostly be done and gone in 5 mins.

You cant really compare server activity to Odin. I dont run odin anymore because there is no need to do it anymore.

This is nothing more than alarmist nonsense. Behemoth is not dying, the game is not dying, players are spread out.

Quite apart from anything else, if you need any evidence that Behemoth is far from dying, how about the fact that character creation on it is regularly *locked*? That doesn't happen on dying servers.

As for why players are sparse in the lower level HW areas, there are several factors, players are spread throughout the content, not much reason currently to revisit those areas. HW zones are far larger than ARR zones.

Those at end-game play end game and do not visit other areas very often. At the moment there is not a lot of incentive for players to revisit the lower level areas, and besides they're too busy farming end-game or whining about casuals getting gear in Diadem - which they too are farming. The new relic may bring reasons to revisit these locations.

Heavensward areas are vast compared to ARR zones. The same number of players in a HW zone vs an ARR zone will look very different.

Behemoth has always been quietest in the late night/early morning hours EST/CST, which is unfortunately when I tend to play, so it's NOT a new thing for the server to be quieter at that time of the day. New Anima Weapon should breathe life back into the open world again...we shall see.

The new Anima weapon will almost certainly bring some life back to these areas, so will leveling Alts.
