Leve's are a good option for solo players to level, or a casual sitting. The quests that give lore and leves each serve a different purpose, the game wouldn't be right if either one was removed.

While rude, the OP does have a history of saying he'll leave if XIV resembles XI at all and ever since 1.18 when it seems like they're moving toward XI he makes a topic he'll be leaving if they continue to make it like FFXI.
