WHMs and their toolkits

Actual Swiftcast delay is a bit lower than 1s, but if you wanna macro yeah it must be a full second. Even with animation delay, Swiftcast is still really good for quick AoE healing, those spells tend to have more casting time than others. Specially Medica II / Aspecterd Helios.

The only time I've ever feel like I need to use my whole healing toolkit is in savage. Maybe primal progression back in the day but we quickly out geared that.

What quite a few WHM also seem to forget is that Assize is also an excellent burst damage spell. If you don't need the healing, there's quite a few situations where it's really cool to use it to help with adds, especially because of its huge range (for example, Jagd Dolls in A4, Ravana's add phase, the first boss of Neverreap, the Curator in FC, etc).

Oh, I missed the timing to remark that it's not my job to damage enemies, and if I do it's just a bonus, so don't expect it!

But yes, Assize is great to use after a spam line of Holy to finish off the trash mobs who just refuse to die and also kill adds like the plumes on Neverreap (because they're invisible to DPS, right?).

I don't use it on Curator though, because I can't one shot them yet and having to follow up with another spell to finish the adds is a no-no, since the bomb debuff is my priority. I -could- use it to help the DPS kill them faster, but all times I did it they did not switch to the adds to finish them, so I won't do it until I can 1 hit KO them.

i am against healer dps but even i use assize more often for damage than healing xD it's just too awesome >.>

As a main healer I use everything in my toolkit because its all amazingly useful once you get the hang of using it..

and also because my tanks are almost never using Def CDs so I have to. :x (sorry tanks)

its not just healers. 90% of players dont play their class to their full potential; WHM's are no exception to this

Assize should be used almost exclusively for the damage under Cleric Stance.
