Nothing of value would be lost, but I don't think they should scrap em. Keep em as base classes and bust out the advanced jobs.

Exactly, change the system so that it's not tied to weapons only but actual classes instead. Like I said you can just add a button to the menu that will let you change to BLM, WHM, WAR, SAM whatever you have unlocked on the fly no need for a Moogle or whatever. Even with the current "Classes" they could do this and it would still be better just for the fact that if I wanted to weild a sword, or a single handed axe on my MRD I could if there was one available to it. They just need to make weapons like gear with optimal classes and ranks.
The problem is with classes like CON which have the Ancient Magic of a BLM and most of the stuff from WHM what would the point be in adding them.
Also if they made Weapons separate from classes this might help with unique weapon skills and even the lacklustre animations as they would not have to make animations for the same WS for every weapon.

I don't care, although I do think Yoshi-P kind of jumped ship with current classes too fast.
The only thing I'm concerned with is that this game change, in whichever way Square Enix thinks best. Lot of people posting are just trying to stick their name on something without any thought of a consequence.
How so? What are your views? The only things you have posted so far was "No Thanks" and a link about FF jobs. Would you care to expand on your small but extremely valuable contribution so far to the thread as I can not wait to hear more of your valued insight into what this thread is about.
