Really starting to get discouraged from playing.

That counts all counts, even the solo scenarios, towards the end game raiding I mentioned, but what it looks like people want is for the relic quest to be a long and complex adventure, presumably one that would last the entire expansion and beyond (from what I can gather), and I just cant see how that would work without end game raiding or severe time gating.

Personally I thought the Zodiac weapon quest line was fine. The only stages I thought were a piss take was the melding of materia/alexandrite. The Atma stage was kinda annoying when doing it, but I remember whenever an Atma finally dropped it felt so good! It felt like an achievement. All the other stages I thoroughly enjoyed.

Harder, such as taking away aoe indicators and having everyone figure out what the boss is going to do. Older mmos used to do it and people managed to beat the bosses.

There should be 2 forms of relics. Call one Ultima path, the other omega.

Ultima is always seen as the shadow, the lesser of omega. This should be the casual friendly relic everyone knows. The way it's been previously done with all atmas, books, and lights.

Omega should be for the more devout player. This should be only very hard fights. Fighting only, no books, no lights. Not like coil where you fight multiple adds like the elevator. Each fight is a boss such as the jailors in CoP.

it took me about 500 FATEs over the course of 6 months to get the Atma's for one weapon. That is ridiculous.

I gave up on it afterwards. It wasn't until recently that I picked it back up and have painstakingly moved through 7 Animus books. After about a years worth of un-needed hunt seals I already have about 60 Alexandrite saved up. All that an Atma felt like for me was one step closer to the end of the stage with no reward because the thing doesn't even get increased stats from the Zenith.

Coupled with the fact that back in the day, after all that crap, you got to do the Animus books which could take 4 hours for a FATE to spawn just to complete a book and get a measly stat upgrade. Coil was much more rewarding for the time invested.

I agree that the stages could have been improved upon (give each Atma a progress bar, each FATE completion increased the bar and at 100% you got the Atma) but the idea behind them was pretty solid. I really enjoyed the Animus book stage, despite waiting for FATE spawns, though the most I ever had to wait was about 1 hour.

And people vehemently denies that it's a lie that there's no content for mid-core players, and it's even worse on Heavensward even though IT'S A FRICKING EXPANSION, that it's absolutely not going to change with a 24 man raid, I'm pretty sure almost 99% certain the Void Ark or w/e is gonna be basically un-upgraded esoterics. And the airship stuff something pretty irrelevant like treasure maps, I hope I'm wrong.

It's either Savage or collecting minions/glamours, the two extreme opposites.

Personally I think the best thing to do would be to add solo dungeon encounters. Its not that hard. They've done it for the job quests, all they would have to do is make it a little more epic.

This game is in desperate need of some actual real (post level cap) solo combat content as well.

I don't really know anything about the Airship stuff other than you'll be using your FC's airship (and if you dont have one there will be one in Ishgard... so I'm not even sure why your FC needs one) and I've heard that somehow its supposed to be like Dynamis in FFXI.

Trust me, it's not gonna change any time soon but at least one year even if they have take the complaints into account which I doubt.

There's too many people defending these problems and the majority barely play, or haven't played since 2.2 and are actively defending this crap, there was a reddit thread yesterday rebutting these complaints and he made some retarded keypoints such as.

"Primals have always been the same so no change here" "Esoterics have always been the same so no change here", "I haven't been playing since 2.1-2.2 but here's my opinions on it"
