I guess I better explain before more people misunderstand.

The person said that because I don't want to walk on a very long, boring, and chocobo accessible bridge that I don't like walking at all.

I countered this logic by using their own logic and saying that because they don't want chocobos to be able to run on the bridge then they must not like chocobos at all.

It may only be 40 seconds but it's little things like this that become increasingly annoying when you have to keep doing them. It wouldn't be difficult for them to change it and would make the game that little bit less annoying. After all the whole point in a Chocobo was to get around faster right, why should you have to get off and walk the rest of the way?

make it optional, also the bridge leade to gridania, make it optional to ppl want to walk/run into the city or ride chocobo

ps: while there are ppl against it, but when SE add the ride able chocobo on those bridge, they ll ride chocobo anyway, so why against it ? just make it optional then the disscussion is over

Awesome as it would be, Crystal tools takes time to load the city on entry.

So it's either a 40sec walking stretch, or a 40sec loading screen. Chocobo-speeds would break the reason it's so long.

Even though riding in would be nice, I'd prefer the transition without a loading screen.

Who cares if chocobos couldn't go into cities in other games? There's no rule saying that FFXIV can't be a little different. Who knows, it might actually make the game more FUN.

The fact that people on these forums have been crying for a year that this game isn't Final Fantasy have been saying that FFXIV can't be different. NO WE DON'T WANT CONJURER WE WANT BLACK MAGE/WHITE MAGE. MORE TRADITION, etc. And as I've stated before. It wouldn't be fun. It would be annoying seeing a bunch of mounted people in the middle of an area when I want to repair some gear or sell off some items. There's absolutely no need for chocobos to be in town when everything is about a two minute walk away.
