I would love to have a minion out more often. Make them not clickable in dungeons and I am okay with them not being out at all in Full Parties since that might stress the servers.
And being able to have a minion out is one of many things I wish I could do with my Chocobo out.
When I get a Haurchefant minion...and I *WILL*...he'd better be able to stay at my side, SE.
All I read was more Fledgling Dodo and I immediately agreed.
Most of all I want to be able to place minions inside my personal house, yard and FC room and they just sort of pace around the area I place them at.
I just got the lesser panda and I NEED it to be sitting on my shoulder when I'm riding my fat chocobo.
I just had another thought which has occurred to me numerous times in the past. Even without my Chocobo summoned, in the open world, while I am in combat I cannot summon my dodo (replace name of your preferred minion here). This seems to have no reason behind it whatsoever. Please free the dodos. And their other friends.
In dungeons i don't mind but please not in any 8 man content.
It's already hard enough to see the difference between the face and the butt of a boss with a million spell effects going on.
Yeah I'm fine with minions being barred from anything above 4-man, as well as nameplate changing, or untargetable, etc. I just really would like them in 4 mans as well as being allowed with my chocobo. :)
Also perhaps have various toggle-able features that allow people who don't want to see minions to not see them, even in the open world if possible. I don't really care. The dodo is for me ^_^
re: accidentally clicking on minions when the enemy list is full of stuff -
Unless I'm plain unaware of the option, making a macro to target a specific enemy is not possible. /targetenemy just targets the nearest enemy and /target only works on PCs. Therefore for minions in duties to work in a large aoe situation where you have to find the needle in the haystack (eg A2S) they would have to not be targetable at all.
