Really not enough info here to know what the problem was. I am more inclined to say that it's either a tank or healer skill issue. AST can do Stone Vigil and most other dungeons without issues. Content doesn't really become challenging enough to see imbalances until later.

If your not dpsing during the pulls it is a lot easier to use nocturnal sect on the big pulls, from my experience. It's not as broken, as people make it out to be.

The issue I have with Nocturnal is that Aspected Benefic is beyond useless high-demand HPS situations (large pulls) unless it crits. Since Astrologians have access to Benefic II unlike Scholars, who don't. In addition to this, Nocturnal Aspected Benfic is 100 potency behind Adloquium and doesn't have the 2x Shield Crit Modifier, plus is still 151 potency ([620*0.05%] = 31 + 620 = 651) behind Benefira in Nocturnal Stance. So in situations where you need to pump HPS, Benefic II is better in almost all situations. x_x

That would not solve anything as it's a boost every 30 seconds, which would mean it would be either a 5% to 15% boost max. Plus, it would also require you to hold your card or draw CD which further backtracks the amount of buffing you can do with Royal Road and the initial Spread adding an additional 30 seconds to your no-buff time.

Aspects benific (nocturnal sect) works great on dungeon trash pulls, you don't spam it, precast , then weave it in with your benifics. The shield can last long enough to throw some dots out when the isn't to many monsters left. Mp is not an issue in dungeons, unless you get the ignore mechanics crew.

I haven't had problems in Stone Vigil since I was a baby tank pre-50. I had four mobs, a fifth joined and I grabbed it while repositioning, I was holding onto all five and popping cooldowns to handle the damage and I died. I didn't lose aggro. Mobs were facing away from the party. I died. Then the AST died when I went down. Perhaps it was their specific skill level. But it was a relatively routine pull; the wipe should not have happened.
