Yes.
You're essentially using one and a half Dark Arts (since you sacrifice the MP regen) for 350 potency. The next best thing would be Dark Arts Souleater at 120 potency. One half more of that would bring it to 180 potency, which still isn't even close to Carve and Spit.
Dark Arts Dark Passenger would yield greater potency with four or more targets.
Use it inbetween GCDs with DA when you have above 2.5k mana, use it below 2.5k mana without DA to restore some.
I admit that Carve and Spit is a bit disappointing to me as well. Still, if nothing else it IS an ability I use whenever I can and keep an eye on the cooldown for -- So I guess subconsciously I'm at least considering it a worthwhile ability on some level.
My issue is that as a level 60 ability, it's nothing I miss having if I DON'T have access to it. Playing DRG in a dungeon below level 50? I miss Chaos Thrust and Dragonfire Dive immediately. PLD? Wishing I had Circle of Scorn. If I play DRK below level 60?
"Oh, I'm missing what-was-that-ability-again? Ho-hum."
Considering MP management, (no-DA'd SE + Passenger) or (DEL + Passenger) is better than DA SE as it's half the cost & 20-40 more potency - if MP is an issue than following this priority with your Passenger opens up a following DA > SE you else-wise may not have access to.
You can do this every 30 seconds, and maintain enough MP for DA'd CnS every 60 seconds.. This seems to be the best method IMO. Scourge's 30 second duration helps keep track of CD availability too, at least that's how I approach it (at 15sec DP+DEL, 30 sec or falloff DA'd CnS + SE/DEL), ie 2 combos between to risk not sucking MP dry, and allowing that space for DA'd SE as 1 or both of those combos if MP is available
I guess I don't understand why it being the level 60 ability is such a huge deal. Do the other classes get some amazing ability at 60? War sure didn't and I don't see anyone complaining about that.
Lmao if Warriors complain about anything at all this patch.
They're TP positive, do insanity dps for a tank in current content, and can switch between their stances with the least negative side effects of all tanks plus have an amazing toolset for dealing with incoming tank damage.
Dark Knights lack all of that. (Except the dps part which is good...for two minutes.)

Your sig needs a pic of George Takei in it, the text is just not complete without it.
