So, how is your AST healing in Alexander?

*Looks around* I guess you are being paired with poor ASTs cus we cleared the 4th floor with no issue after a few wipes, mostly due to learning the mechanics but never due to healing. You say Nocturnal AST is a bad choice but i prefer it myself, in the first phases casting Aspected benefic on yourself, pop an orb, recast, pop another. I'm just getting irritated seeing people blame the class, not the players.

Noct sect is great lol soloing orbs while healing tanks is like damnn y u doing everything while ur co healer twiddles their thumbs in the middle healing someone at 80% hp lol.

The only time this tactic is risky to ise is in phase 1. The boss can sometimes shoot u with perpetual ray which does like 5.5k dmg randomly as it has no cast lol. So u can pop orb then right as u pop it it u get hit by perpetual ray thus killing u for more than 1.2k combined dmg. And all u can say is damn didn\\'t see that coming.
Happened to me 1/3 runs so its kinda rare but it still happens xD.

Yeah it's like they want whm and sch to become the subpar healer by begging for buffs on a job that's just fine.

I cleared all 4 floors at Ilvl 163 Astro...didn't have many issues with it at all. But I did try Noct. Sect and it was awful. I don't see a reason why anyone would use this outside of PvP.

I do find my White Mage easier and more fun to play tho.

How can you clear it at ilvl 163 when minimum req. is ilvl 170? .__. Do you mean iLvl 173?

From a tank's perspective in Alexander: I had no issues with any of the AST's I got paired with in DF. Had at least one for each floor, F3 was x2 AST's. No issues, have never had a problem with AST as my healer.

You're not calculating DPS at that point, it's just total damage dealt. It wouldn't be 3750 DPS, it's 3750 added damage for the buff's duration. Also, since we bring TD and CO into this. Why wouldn't I use CO on the group with expanded balance? I'm not burning CO on one guy because its a waste of the CDs potential.

250 DPS * 20s (CO used) is 5,000 increased DMG

100 DPS * 50s (CO and TD used) is 5,000 increased DMG.

I blew two CDs on one guy and it doesn't even pull ahead and it takes longer for the increased damage to get out. Enhanced RR just straight up loses (unless it is your only option for burst phases).

yeah i originally geared my drg to 180 before the update and had healers at 163 astro, 161 WHM. I had put on the strength accessories to get to 170 to enter, then swapped back to my mind gear lol
