The Paladins lack of an AOE Emnity attack.

As a WAR prior to this patch I would put flash as it had some uses. After playing WAR a lot more in depth you'll realize to better time your berserks than ever flash. Not only are you lowering your DPS but you're generating less hate. It would be a strategy to pre flash before things would properly be targetable but steel cyclone is so much better.

I am just going to say that the paladins kit is prefect the way it is.

If you are losing agro in a group of 5 mobs then your are playing paladin wrong.

You go in do 3 flashes ( to all mobs so if you miss a mob then that mob will obviously have less agro then the other 2 who you hit with 3 flashes ).
you circle of scorn
you cast Sheltron
fast blade
Spirits Within
tab to next target for savage blade,
tab Then rage of halone,

(use shield bash or whatever its called when it is up then tab before resuming your rotation)

Rinse repeat as things come of cool down.

Here is a pointer if a mob is at 1/4 health don't worry about building agro. If you have had its agro this whole time it will likely die before you lose agro, and if you do lose agro it will die before anyone else is killed or even takes a hit. If you see that all dps is on one target (instead of multiple) then always use rage of halone on that target.

Lol, why in the world would a DRK with the right mind use flash at all to begin with. It's like PLD cross-classing cure from CNJ while they have clemency.

No troubles with agro. If your DPS is way over geared, then I suggest you also get way over geared. Making complaints about a class if you aren't doing everything you can to mitigate the complaint is just whining for the sake of being lazy. Yes, a new Paladin might have a little trouble. Can't honestly say, because I didn't have any when I freshly hit level 60. But an over geared Paladin will not have any trouble at all. IF you continue to have problems, then I suggest getting a set of Strength trinkets. If your DPS is so strong that they are ripping agro from you, then they are strong enough to kill things quickly, meaning all that excessive HP you're hoarding on your VIT trinkets is wasted. Get some DPS in there and then get good. More STR increases the power of Flash too, as well as Circle of Scorn, and you'll be doing more damage and finishing pulls faster this way. EVERY good tank, whether Warrior, Dark Knight, or Paladin, should have two sets of trinkets (Assuming they aren't using melded crafted trinkets) to switch in and out of for heavy damage and heavy health.

The problem isn't about enmity (I don't have issues on PLD with enmity on packs). The problem is the TTK on pulls, with content where the majority of the time isn't spent fighting bosses where PLD does shine a little brighter, but on packs of trash. ThatAE damage makes a huge, noticeable difference overall compared to running it as PLD.

Where atm, our static WAR can pull upto 3k on trash pulls, compare that to a PLDs 500-600. PLD is using flash to maintain enmity on high burst DPS jobs which produces zero damage whereas WAR is using AE damage abilities to maintain the same enmity.

In other words ,where the majority of the fighting is trash, PLD is a detriment compared to the other tank jobs.

As I say, that isn't my concern, concern is how much a difference in time running trash heavy content as PLD or the other tank jobs.

Who cares about trash pulls?

The classes all play different, do you want a balanced tank with lots of survival and mitigation then bring a paladin. If not bring one of the other tanks. Honestly, I don' think it matters you won't see people refusing paladins a spot because of the dps they don't do on aoe pulls.

In fact when I play my bmage I am relieve use the df and I get a paladin.

I say leave paladins warriors alone, I think they are prefect.

PLD doesn't need an AoE physical attack. I don't know why so many people are having trouble holding hate...I flash 2-3 times and start gory blading through 2-3 mobs before focusing on the same mob that a dps is single targeting with RA. But if they are going to get an AoE it should be a holy based off ATK Power. Just cause.

Never had a problem with flash hate generation at higher levels. If Im putting multiple mobs on me, its usually trash anyways. Adds during boss fights tend to be meh and not worth the extra effort. If you're having troubles pulling hate, right doing another flash or two to help give you that buffer. remember to always use shelltron and riot rotation when goring out.

Waaah my Tank classes aren't all reskins of each other. Please make them all the same.
