3.0 Gil Earnings

New gathering materials from all sources are more beneficially valued since RMT DoL bots don't seem to have made much headway into the expansion territories due to the main story quest requirements. You can make more income now from DoL than in the past. DoH wise things created within the 50-60 level range are worth a lot more now than would of been had SE not gated HW entry though they require more effort to create quite often, the exception being crafted red scrip gear not being worth crafting due to material costs currently.

That should fix itself over time when less and less people are having to juggle the choice of spending the scrips on gearing themselves and spending them on bringing materials to market. The materials gathered even from DoW/DoM are good to sell such as skins and monster items dropped, this again benefited from the RMT exclusion due to gated entry to expansion zones. Basically almost all materials from HW zones are not being impacted so negatively by RMT and as such they are worth more.

I don't know if it's RMT bots, but most of those are selling for < 200 gil a piece on Leviathan now. I was quite disheartened.

Retainer quick ventures can sometimes pay off, my Lvl60 iLvl172 WHM retainer surprised me with a Kingly whisker once, it sold half an hour later for 15.5M gil, not bad for 2 ventures :p

What Lorielle said plus trying to grab rare bardings in dungeons but its not very feasible.

A reliable method to make gil is to check the MB for different types of crafting ingredients like skins. Find out which sell easy, then go kill some monsters and sell your loot. It doesn't make a lot of gil, but it's easy to do. Another method, though quite slow, is to use the roulette bonus (you're a tank, it will almost always be up) for a small amount of gil. Another method that is quite decent is to solo farm Amdapor Keep for Demon Bricks. Just rush to the first chest, open it, then quit and repeat. Demon bricks have a relatively decent spawn rate, and each run takes at most 2 minutes.

Last suggestion, if you have time to blow, is to solo Brayflox HM for the Baby Opo Opo. They usually sell really well, and the prices may go up in 3.1 because of minion battles. It can be done in around 15 minutes.

No crafting or gathering profession that is worth anything.

From march 2015 until now I have made 30mil gil. I started at 125k.

Gathering mostly. .5 m+ / RL day for an hour or so as botanist and miner.

My fisher alt is making gil on assassin fry and swimsuits. She doesn't have Hevansward unlocked yet.

I never really made alot of gil.. never bothered.. i had some here and then and always spend it on stupid stuff :P then when 3.0 got released, i figured i put up some goals for myself in game.

Sold my small house.

Now i've got a Large house for myself, FC has a large house. Gave away medium house that our FC had to it prior.
Still got some money left over not sure what to save up for next but i'm pretty happy with it so far.

Mainly craft stuff and if i can gather it myself i will(Me being a cheapskate and all)

Surprisingly (or not), 2.x glamour gear and base Relic weapons have partially funded my leveling every DoH class to 60. Additionally, selling level 50 4-star food is still good for those who haven't blitzed their way to 60.

4 full retainers are now useless due to these new quick venture items. I want to cry each time i look at the prices on them.
