i think dodos are not only not-cool as mobs but they are in the negative when it comes to cool mounts.

drakes i think are a very obvious choice and hypocerfs/hypogryphs are also really neat. i, however, would prefer a whole new animal to take the place for new mounts.

Hey, useful information or not, they're still on-topic more often than we are.

I vote for having a tamed raptor as a pet/mount.

1) Its possible tame a raptor (We all tamed them as beastmasters several times in FF XI) So they can be friendly.

2) Raptors are built like a chocobo, minus the feathers and reminding people of KFC.

3) There are different sized chocobo for each race and the same could go for the raptor breeds.

4) They're just as fast, if not more so, than a chocobo. They put the velocity in velociraptor.

If they become mounts cool, if not, no big deal. I'm very content with my chocobo. But this is just an idea for anyone throwing around suggestions that are believable out of the species living in Eorzea. Drakes would be cool too perhaps. Either that or just adding in other FF creatures or creating cool new ones to act as believable mounts.

i wound say a pieste(sp) of some sort or like the Mamba. I like that idea.

I want a great buffalo for mount so I can devastate cities ! I think that chocobos are fairly enough, we dont need 10 types of mounts.

But few others, well. Why not anway.

It's not "chocobo-less", but as alternative mount, perhaps the chocobo wagon that is featured several places already within they story. There has also been a chocobo with wagon outside of Gridania for a long time.

What better way to haul all of that loot you got from the dungeon / gathered / crafted around ... and in REAL style. In terms of purpose for game, they could function like retainer (with fewer inventory slots perhaps), but could have accessible bazaar slots out in the open world. The could liven up the camp areas, and even the aether gates with a little bit of that Ul'dahn merchandising.

I want chocobos to have chocobo dash exclusively.

Shame the ocean isnt a playable area. Itd be cool to fight aquatic monsters on the back of your trusty pet Leviathan...
