For me I am not talking about the story, I just care about the classes. I have said it before, putting the new classes after the main story is done was a dumb idea. They should have simply moved the class trainers to the Central Highlands and let you get them as long as you had 1 job completely finished even if the story wasn't. I would much prefer to be able to play the new classes on alts and go through the story line as them. Don't even start the "But this game you don't need alts" stuff, my play style is just as valid as yours and alts is something I enjoy when new classes come out. Except now in order to get to the classes any alts have to waste time doing the story as classes I have already done it with.

I skipped all the cutscenes trying to knock out 2.1-2.55 over last weekend before I went away for work and had no Internet (2.1 is when I was up to date and got MMO burnout). I ended up at The Crysalis :(

Yeah I remember finishing that stuff and thinking I was done, then finding out there was more. XD Sucks when you're expecting to be done and ready to move on only to find out you're not. I didn't mind it though, I love doing the story (though it helps that there wasn't a Heavensward to look forward to at the time).

I think the negativity in this thread is mostly because so many people have already complained about this (in a much more whiny-entitled-brat way than you did) that a lot of people are kind of done with it and don't have a lot of patience any more.

There's quite a difference between locking something behind being a certain level and locking it behind hours of story. >.>

Not really
Alex is closed behind the 3.0 quest.
Can't enter it without clearing the 3.0 storyline, even if you cleared the 2.55 storyline.
