I've been asking for a Tank Job for lancer for years, at least near every Live Letter English question thread. I think arcanist killed the notion of secondary Jobs with the developers, though, cause people have been complaining about Summoner/Scholar's interdependence on arcanist for as long as it's been a thing...

cant undo the years of dead dragoon jokes that ff11 did and it just spill over too ff14. just laugh it off and be on your way

EQ1 -> EQ2 Rangers all over again.

This actually even caught on in Rift, we sacrificed Rogues to the loot gods -- even the TANK rogues.

Possibly. A few early waves of WoWers were spillovers from EQ1 who couldn't treat EQ2 like a home yet XD IK before I bought EQ2 I did the trial of vanilla WoW and gave up.
