I'd like NIN more if Mudra lag wasn't so awful. Sometimes it even cancels the first mudra I input so I end up throwing a Raiton instead of Suiton.

I just couldn't get over how silly it is how ninja appears to do a multi hit attack....for one number. Noooope.
I'll stick to my SNM, ahk morn ftw :3
Eh, I couldn't get into it. The Mudra thing seemed too overly anime. I know that's a weird complaint for a game like this, but it feels like it was really meant to appeal to the ADD Naruto crowd. And it also felt odd because in real life, Mudras refer specifically to a Hindu/Buddhist prayer gesture rather than a crazy ninja thing.
The Rogue quests, though, were top-tier awesome. And the sound design is particularly excellent. They're very satisfyingly slashy and metallic.
I love playing Ninja. Hoping people jump ship for the new classes in the expansion. Hopefully lowers the amount of epically bad ninjas dotoning single targets.
My biggest complaint about the Ninja is the games stealth is tragically broken. Hopefully it comes to better use when in high level areas of heavensward.
I'm a MNK to NIN convert, only because I had planned to be a NIN from the start (due to my character's first name), but it wasn't available at the time. So I chose MNK, the class that was the closest in theme I was going to get. So when NIN was finally released, instantly changed my main to that.
I just recently leveled ninja to 50, but I still main my monk as my favourite melee class since I like the animations and positionals. Ninja and dragoon share equal footing for me, barring the fact that low level dragoon was painfully boring. Mudras are a nice mechanic and I do like them, but oh boy do they ever let you know when you hit a bad patch of latency.
My SO I know prefers monk as well, but only because of latency issues. If he had better internet, he would probably go ninja.
Well regardless of what your thoughts are on the animations, you cant say the NIN mechanic isn't interesting and engaging. Other classes....tap, tap, tap, move, tap, tap, tap, move...
Totally get what op was saying - non is heaps fun to play.
But mudra lag is kinda annoying.
