Sleipnir Useless in Heavensward?

yay for flying mounts... yet.. the other game took them out in new zones I hear... maybe because it makes zones feel dead and able to skip content.

Also wasn't it stated that old mounts that would get flight have to wait. They needed to add certain animations for flight. This is more a 3.1 or 3.2 discussion they have not even said when said animations will be added.

Primal Ponies can fly? o.O thats news to me..but seeing as how Sleipnir is considered a primal mount (seeing as how it plays Odin's Theme) I'm going to assume it will be able to fly..maybe not right of the bat in 3.0 since Yoshi and friends have mentioned that older mounts like the Ahriman will be able to fly in a later patch (something like 3.1 or 3.2) and not as soon as Heavensward launches.

18 days for early access!...i'm dieing over here waiting x.x

Sounds like the same mistake wow made.

When they added flying mounts, they flew slower than they ran. No one used the normal speed ones.

Making them slower on the ground leads them not being used unless you need to go up. Mounts are slow as it is, come on.

I don't think I saw anyone else state this, but if you run on the ground with a flying mount they will only go at 90% speed while normal mounts go 100%. So if for some reason you need to run and not fly, Sleipnir will be faster than any flying mount.

Those horses are going to look silly with wings.

nothing nothing but it isnt useful and seeing as its a cash shop item it shouldnt be "useful" it should be exactly what it is. Benign and cosmetic.

Anyone who bought the item, which was never forced on any player, bought it with no promise of it ever getting updated at all. They bought it knowing it was a normal mount not obtainable in game by other means. As far as I'm concerned they dont have to do or add anything to sleipnir. Though should they choose to do so, they do not owe it to anyone and itd be hella nice.

I read where the mount had to have wings to get the flying ability. Did I misread that? Where did you see that ponies of any kind can fly? lol

If your referring to WoW. Otherwise not sure what your saying. 1.0 definitely didn't have flying mounts. We didn't have mounts for over a year after launch. We had to walk everywhere, because there was no airship. When we did get a mount it was just the GC chocobo. Nothing glamorous.
