2.0 launch had serious problems because literally every single player had to connect to the same lobby server when they log in. This has changed.
I still think there will be lobby server traffic jam in the first 2 hours of early access. You can try to handle traffic, but there's a limit to what you can do. And then after that there's the server queues. There's every reason to expect server queues in the thousands during peak time, and that has no solution. If you are on a high-population server, get ready to queue.
