How to use the World Transfer Service
Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility
The following conditions must be met before using the World Transfer Service:
- You must be logged out of the game.
- Your character cannot be enlisted in a free company, holding a free company petition, or signed to a free company petition.
* If enlisted in a free company, your character must leave it before applying for World transfer.
- Your character cannot be undertaking the special quest "The Ties that Bind."
- Your character cannot have a reservation pending for a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding.
- Your character cannot be in possession of a blank invitation or a ceremony invitation.
- Your character cannot own housing on their current World.
- Your character cannot have items for sale on the market.
- Your character cannot have items entrusted to the Calamity Salvager NPC.
- Your character must retrieve all optional items delivered via the moogle delivery service.
- Furnishings removed from your character's private chambers must not currently be in the possession of the Resident Caretaker NPC (as a result of your being discharged from a free company).
- Your character must rehire any retainers carried over from Version 1.0.
- Your character must be logged out outside of any instanced areas including dungeons, residential areas, and the Ivory Chapel.
- If you have purchased a character name change, the option must be available on the character selection screen.
- You must possess an active service account for FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- You must have characters present on your service account.
- The character you wish to transfer must be at least three days old.
More than three days must have passed since last using the World Transfer Service.
- Your service account cannot be suspended due to a violation of Terms of Service or a hold on the account.
Furthermore, characters can only transfer 1 million gil, while retainers can only transfer 100 thousand gil. Please be aware that excess gil will be lost.
* Depending on economic conditions, the amount of gil that may be transferred with a character may be subject to change.
