As a relatively new player I had my enjoyment of the game severely hampered before the endgame because everything was way too easy, I was being carried by overgeared characters and never felt like I even contributed to anything.
No nerfs please, on the contrary, please add mandatory ilvl syncs to content like HM Primals and the final story dungeons so they are enjoyable for newcomers even when they play them with endgame players.

No offense, but I'm really glad that none of you people have a say in this, because if I had a gil for every terrible idea or irrationally masochistic request I read on these forums, I'd have my mansion already. Stop obsessing about what other people are doing or not doing - you'll be 60, and there will be new unreasonably grindy or really difficult achievements for you to lord over the peasants. -

I'm of the same mind as the OP. I don't wanna see things dumbed down for newer people either. Back when I first started the endgame things seemed far off in the distance, almost unreachable, but the feeling of overcoming those trials when you do get to them is amazing. When the difficulty of those things is deflated before you get to them it's a huge kick in the pride, because it's pretty much making you feel like you couldn't beat it until they nerfed it after so many other people did. I hate having things handed to me on a plate.

I think everyone who's been playing this game for over a year already has forgotten that in terms of gear you're leagues ahead of the newbies. Of course the content is too easy for you. You're prepared. And I have to admit that I've been very grateful when said overgeared people came into my DF quests to help get it done. But when we all move into Heavensward content, suddenly content gets a lot more difficult when said overgeared players aren't carrying lower level people. iLevel syncs would be nice for those who wish to play the dungeons again or level a new class though.Quote:

04-12-2015, 10:16 AMViridianaI have to say, even when freshly leveling, the only roadblocks I can think of are Brayflox NM, *maybe* Stone Vigil NM, Garuda NM, and Titan HM. Brayflox was more about getting a tank who wasn't bad, Stone Vigil dodging the stripe AOE against Isgebind, Garuda was healing, and Titan. . .is Titan. There really isn't any difficult content in the MSQ. Titan is as hard as it gets. And that's not to disparage Titan: for a full group of fresh 50's he's hard. But he's not so hard that he needs further nerfing.Quote:
