Yeah if the tanks can stop spinning the Angra Mainyu like a merry go round

Had a really great wod today though. Other tanks knew they were outclassed, the war even had defiance on, never lost hate in sword oath, never died, and one of them even decided to take the dog after I requested it, citing that I like to pick up the adds. The run beforw that I left was a train wreck though. while moving to grab angra, this barely i90 tank provokes, bard hits it, now I've got to chase the thing as it runs between everyone, never even having gotten a hit on it, and don't get it until several healers are dead. Then I'm I'm tanking him I'm mid for a bit, the 90 tank provokes, and I Proceeded to stand there as everyone died, eventually leaving the instance.

looks like tc wants the mt to die with 3 stacks or level 100 death. If you can't handle the mechanics in the fight or the boss being turned for a split second you should stop playing this game if you are to lazy to move.

W/ my low iLvl I have been learning to just let the WARs/Other PLDs in the CT runs have their little contest while I sit there in SwO slicing whatever's on the healer...and now the person who posted it earlier has "Spin me right round" stuck in my head. Bonkers.

I say this to myself a lot when I'm on Monk.

And it's not just the Mainyu boss in WoD, either, but damn near every boss & dragon in the Crystal Tower raids. There's nothing quite like attacking an hourglass behind the Mainyu and suddenly getting hit by its line attack and you die because the tanks are measuring how big their e-cocks are.

Sure, tanks need to be able to dodge certain attacks from bosses, but I've observed tanks that dodge WITHOUT spinning the boss around like they're playing Spin the Bottle. And when there are multiple tanks, fighting over who is going to main tank the boss, even I eventually go "Fuck it. I'm just gonna stand here, and attack anything that so much as looks at the healers funny, until the tanks have it sorted out."

Angra does not change the direction its facing while casting either of those. The MT can easily dodge them while not altering the boss' facing. The only time you get spins is between casts and an OT is standing with the DpS and tries to steal hate off the MT causing the boss to turn to face the OT standing with the DpS.

Right? I don't get what's so hard about dodging a mechanic and moving back quickly after it's gone off. *shrug*

That's inevitably when he uses the "Stare" attack and cleaves into the raid. xD

If you guys can't do your thing while I lead the handsome Mr. Mainyu on a romantic slow waltz around the perimeter of the arena dance floor, then I am not the problem.

I wonder if all the JA gamers who can read English pop over to our forums to get their fill of hearty lolz over our endless rants about how bad the players are over here.

Wouldn't be surprised. It's amazing how two different cultures can approach the same problem differently. Now I am really curious if there's leeroy tanks and DPS in JP servers.

even my 1st time main tanking WoD, I never running in circles. Why I even want to do that? ^^;

This should be already general rules from tank that they have to make mobs facing away from rest of party. If I need to dodge, I will move away from attack zone, but then I always come back resume on same spots.

Or there are any other tanking methods that requires you to move around alot? Like Brayflox normal mode's final boss where you have to steer drake from poison zone to avoid it's regenerative buffs? :?
