Will the Lightning hair ever return?

The hovering bugs me too, but then most of the longer hairstyles hover in some manner if they come anywhere near your body. Blame SE for making room for bulky armor instead of making the hairstyles dynamic. Even if they released another unique over-the-shoulder style it would do the exact same thing.

Bringing the event itself back next anniversary event will be also not bad, but better.

But the content already exists. Putting in the necessary triggers wouldn't even use a fraction of the effort as putting in a whole new event.

It takes them far less effort to enable an event they already have than it does to create new content whole-cloth. Especially right now with the team trying to get the au ra hair to work right.
Moreover, they add at least one new hairstyle every patch, and they've said in great detail that the process is not as simple as people seem to think it is.

Also, I would like to dress up my char with Lumina or Yuel cosplay outfits.

oh!? i didnt know that lightning hair is obtained thru some quests? i was there. in lightning returns event. i dont remember what quest but that lightning hair is in my aesthecian right now! i thought that hairstyle is available for everyone :D

I read that you could only get it by doing the first quest "For the Winsome"

I really wish we could get the lightning outfits/hairstyle back.. Put it in the Cash Shop even but new players should be able to get them!

After they add ponytail item in GS, I think they might add it in mog-station cash shop soon.
