The irony of certain people zerging hunts.

You only get 2 carbontwine per week for 8 people that isn't enough to gear out your whole group. There is a lot of iron works 130 that is BiS over dreadwyrm so people that do raids must do hunts as well to gear up faster.

The REAL irony in this are the people who claim players running final coil have no need for mats from hunts , yet the casuals who are grinding WoD obviously require upgraded gear for... progress I guess?

heh, why not ? Until yesterday, I was falling under that category (just got my T9 kill ^_^ wiping at each T10's trash pack was fun) but that doesn't mean I won't try to progress, even if I'm terribly late compared to some other people. Only people who should not complain are those who do not want at all to run coil (not even trying to tackle T9) as all the items they want will eventually be in the WoD and easily available. Hunts are just a bonus, both for raiders and non raiders.

What are you saying? You realize that in some other "MMO", they have raids with 20-25 people, some bosses only drops 1 or 2 tokens or a specific item for a bunch of people every week, and yet, all these people eventually get their gear. Are you saying people who raid have to have everything at lightning speed? It's just like how people here are talking about how casuals don't need their gear at lightning speed either. It's not about the speed and it's never been. The fact that it drops from coil just shows that hunts are far from mandatory for raiders AT ALL to get geared up.

Beside, hunts suck and is a terribly designed. You think it's fine? Well good luck proving that to anyone, the fact that everyone here is arguing about wether it's good or not is the proof <_<

You totally miss the horrible RNG system suck so much in this game and the ever-growing loots pool just make things even worse. From my own experience, farming t10 to t12 for the last 4 months and the total of loots I got for my MNK, my raid class is 0, a very round absolute zero. See what I meant???

I'm right there with you, My group has only ever seen the monk gloves and necklace once each, yet we have stuff going to the floor because we have had so many duplicates. Its actually starting to get quite frustrating.
