Kick attack: Yay or nay?

I would like Pugilist; or an advancement of, to have a kick attack. Perhaps changing the animation of "Pummel" to a kick animation would work. Pugilist only has 1 500 tp move, Pounce (which takes a VERY Very large amount of stamina) Another idea would be a 500 TP Kick weaponskill.

I'd rather pugilists use punches and only punches. Then, if / when we get a monk class, I'm all for them to use kicks. Who was talking about class uniqueness again? :)

kick attacks? yes! after all the running around i do in the game it would be great to see my legs put to more use, not to mention...my hands get tired of punching after while...

No kick attack for me on this one. If they bring in another job.. lets say NIN then it would makes sense.

odd...i don't recall anyone saying there was something wrong with punching things...

And yes, they are discussing adding more named jobs (i.e. MNK, NIN, PLD, DRK, ect...)

Kick boxer comes to mind when everyone keeps saying pugilist = boxer lol

but I lean towards keeping it for an advance branch of pugilist

I can see pugs having up to 3 branches
Monk DD, Thief Enmity control, ??? Evasion tank (kittens will die if you say the N word to fill in the ???)

I'd think a branching off would be cool but seems terribly unlikely.

Anyways, it really only specifies the pugilist class as using "hand-to-hand combat". So yeah, while they use the term pugilist, I don't think they specifically and only meant boxer.

Which doesn't really matter to me, I just want to kick someone in the face.

pray to god they never add another kick attacks stance lol what epic fail that was to mnk >< As good as a kick attk extra hit would be to have id be even happier w/ more animations for punches or a possible tripple attk trait allowing for 3 attks w/ light strike/ heavy strike. Or even an advanced class that can kick attk would be gravy if it was done right this time....

Of course they should add kicks but I think they will feel more natural when they implement the auto attack system. I will tell ya what, a damn spin kick will be much cooler than lame ass Simian Thrash imo.
