Ok checked the route from here and can confirm I got a complete route on Excalibur no problems but the Ragnarok route ended in repeated timeouts. The route is identical up to 199.91.189.242 which is the last hop. This tells me that it is the server/device at 199.91.189.60 actually in the data centre that has the issue (they are in the same subnet so its definitely at the data centre). This is probably a router or distribution server and is probably load balanced. If it uses sticky connections that might explain why some of us are having problems and some are not. I would suspect one of the nodes is not responding and maybe that is down to a DDOS attack or it is just malfunctioning. They will need to invest in some decent DDOS reflection hardware if it is an attack. They could add some more nodes to their load balancing set up which might alleviate the issue until they get something more permanent in place.
