Oh.. well, alright then. Sorry, it just seemed to read that way, to me, although I admit I also preferred his direction, however redundant that may be at this point.
Still, all the same, I don't think it's nearly as bad as you seem to fear. If someone feels their opinion is important enough to throw to the ravages of the forums, then I'm sure they'll also be willing to check in on the game while they're at it. It's hardly as if they're actively censoring negative opinions, after all.
To all the people saying that trolls won't have any problem logging in once every 30 days, don't forget when the game eventually goes P2P they won't be logging in anymore unless they're that bored and wanting to burn their $13 a month just to abuse forum posting.
Anyone think it should go another step further and not even allow forum view access unless we have a working account? I mean some people could take our posts and start up crap on other forums. I know of a site or two that started this before and started laughing.
Every little disincentive for trolling combines to create a much bigger disincentive. *like*
And the 30-allowance ensure people who lose access to the game for whatever reason can still get 30 days of community support.
will they start charging on August 17?
LOL
at first i thought it was stupid, but when it goes p2p i understand it.
Looks like SE got me a present for my birthday! :D (August 17th)
This move is not meant for "Trolls" at all.
This is mainly a forum to give feedback to the Dev Team, meaning, to give feedback you at least need to try out the features first. Someone who does not log in and test the content is not fit to provide feedback at all.
Im sure the above is the true purpose for this, regardless of what "troll" would or would not do to post.
