No idea if there is a "big prize". From what I can find XV ventures have chances at high end crafting materials (e.g Dodore Wing, Mossy Horn) as well as items from unspoiled nodes (e.g Ferberite, Native Gold), and some of the old soldiery mats (e.g. Tawny Latex, Saurian Skin)
