Flying Mount Wishlist

GRYPHON MOUNT PLEASE!!! (always wanted one in a game... yes I know Wow has them.. but I disliked Wow)
I also second, third and fourth Wyverns, Enkidu and Flying Fat Chocobos :P

There are some very fanciful requests in here, some quite humours! I suspect that we'll not get something that doesn't quite fit (ie like have a Twintania mount). Dragons will more than likely be out of the picture unless we get lore to explain that not all dragons are "bad guys" similar to how beastmen tribe quests work. Then again if dragons are a beast tribe eventually I don't see us really riding them.


We know that we'll be getting special black chocobos that can fly and personal airships (skimmers). But what else? They could retool some of our current "flying" mounts to work:
- Ahriman
- Bomb Palanquin
- Fat Chocobo (only because it was brought up at EU Fan Fest)

What about other things in the game or possibly added to the game that can fly?
- Some sort of specialized magitek contraption?
- The two new beastmen tribe could provide flying mounts (some sort of insect beetle/moth and bird/owl)?
- Pegasus, is a very traditional creature in FF lore.
- A cloud/mist type mount?
- A magic carpet would just be funny, perhaps an elemental of some sort?
- Flying Goobbue! (I'm kid, but would be hilarious)
- Oversize jelly fish?
- Oversize buzzard/bird/falcon/eagle/pteradactyl?
- Oversize bat?
- Oversize bogy? (maybe from a halloween event in the future)
- Oversize bee/hornet?
- Gryphons could be a thing.
- Moth/Hell diver?

I'd probably only really use the 2 already announced (I usually only ride chocobos or my goobbue too, don't need something new every day of the week) but I do wish they would convert the currently existing hovering mounts into flying ones. Ahrimans especially seem like they should be able to fly high.

I suppose, as far as new things go, maybe something like a pretty and/or cool bird. I've always been a fan of hawks, though some sleeker birds may be prettier if someone's looking for that.

Some of the old summons as mounts might be interesting too, like Pheonix or Valefor.

As for the black chocobo I'd be shocked if they don't use samba de chocobo somewhere for it.... wonder if any of the new towns will have a secret pass club too. xP

First off, I'm still totally psyched about the solo personal airships thing... the possibilities are infinite. And like I suggested on the forums just over two years ago (HERE), I think having battle instances regarding airships and mounts will be a brilliant idea.

But that's another topic for another day... my flying mount list? Mine is more like an "airship list". It's already HERE... hasn't changed.
