Because there is no point in gearing up because you will be synced to 110. Why bother capping poetics every week when you can't use the gear in your favourite content.

You limit yourself to solely dungeons, which is ok. But the game offers you so much more, and it's that reason why you get ilvl increases every major patch. I knew a sync was gonna happen to the old dungeons eventually. You really thought they were gonna let people sporting i130 gear blow through i60 dungeons?

Well every other mmo I've played with vertical progression hasn't imposed any gear sync so yeah. FF is the first mmo I've played with a max lvl gear sync for content.

Which is exactly why I even play this game. I think 110 is actually too high. I wish they would lower it.

Level sync in general is why I play. And people on the forums have been asking for ilevel sync for level 50 content since 2.2. I'm glad they've finally listened.

I'm not totally against the idea, but at 110 it seems a bit pointless. Kinda already passed the point of marginalizing dungeons at that point already, so why bother?

Blanket disabling of all materia however, is a huge jerk move. Materia's a large investment for not a lot of gains. If someone pentamelded one of those i90 as a sidegrade to myth you should just let them have it.
