Yeah like I said before, Its not like I heard ppl complain about losing their houses yet so i think SE only said that to scare us a bit but they might indeed take a house back if it is not used for a while. A person can easily pay the 180days sub and login every 30days just to go in and out of the house to show SE that theyre "using" the house which is not really fair,I know what LionKing meant, but for me its not like that, I've been playing since BETA (+180days) my FC was made on day 1,thats why I bought a house,I have my house for months now and why should I lose it all because of an unfortunate month cuz this is the real world, I know my leadership will be passed down but Im only using my FC as an example, Individual houses are out and I dont even want to buy a house anymore.Quote:

Dear Dev,
The 35day auto-house-deletion was introduced at patch 2.2,
I have no problem if the system delete my personal house which I purchased after 2.2 for 35day no access.
But for the house I purchased before 2.2, it should not be restricted by this 35day rule.
That is what about integrity, I was told that I don't need to pay my sub to keep this house when I purchase it before 2.2. -

You really like that quote, but this live letter was from LAST OCTOBER. A year ago. More than a month before housing was implemented.
What's wrong with devs changing their minds? Integrity whatever, sometimes a design decision that seems sound early on looks very very naive months later in a different perspective. Clearly, leaving houses empty and unused when there is still some demand is totally healthy for the game.
Anyway, they've got time to implement some sort of auto-demolish. Hopefully they'll find one that doesn't screw solo players who only play one month out of every three, yet still have homes to lose that seem to abound in these kinds of threads. -

I still like the logic behind we should cater for:
that one sad soul who unfortunately had the 1/100000000000000 chance to get into an accident and land in a 3 months coma and of course the first thing he wants to do after he's discharged from the hospital is to logon to FFXIV and admire his house;
instead of:
100000000000000 players out there with more than enough gil to buy his plot but doesn't have an available space now to get one.
Call me a realist, unsympathetic, whatever. There's a limit to what's reasonable humanity/consideration.
Oh and don't get me started on those who, ARE NOT EVEN BOTHERING TO PAY A CENT TO SE FOR SUBSCRIPTION FROM NOW ONWARDS, but are still holding on to housing property. In which case LEGALLY, those are SE's intellectual property, they can do whatever they want with it. It's either you keep paying or you don't, but that's your choice.
OH and please if you don't EVEN BOTHER TO PAY A CENT AND DON'T BOTHER TO EVEN LOGIN ONCE EVERY 35 DAYS. Just GTFO the community nor SE needs you here.
If you are paying subscription still but doesn't login once every 35 days, well it's your money and I'll let SE have the final say whether to remove your house or not. That's fair enough. -

Just remove inactive characters, all properties will be gone upon removal. Clean and clear.
it also matches with the new rules for LS/FC auto-destroy when all members are deleted. -

Where I live there is a large house that has been available for a while now so its not that people dont have houses to buy but they dont want to spend millions on a house that they might lose at any time if he dont use it(and now with solo housing,I dont know why a person would buy a large house for himself)they shouldve kept the small houses to people and mid & large houses for FCs idk.I remember when this game started it,there were at most 7FCs(I think one of them was called Fairy Tail)and I didnt want to belong to any of them so I made one of my own and now,after many days later ppl broke of from those FCs and made a bunch of small FCs of their own cuz they had the money to buy a house and they wanted to be leaders.Yoshi said that the amount of newly created Free Companies is gently declining,I think its because those small FCs are joining big ones and eventually we will come to a period were there will be if not one,at most 10 huge FCs and houses will be available again
