Personal Housing Complaint Thread

Very lazy developers. I am extremely disappointed with "personal housing." Whatever happened to, "Personal Housing - While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable." ??

You guys lied. I'm already kind of bored with this game, and for the past few months I've been saving for my own personal house, but now that 2 million isn't enough for anything, I'm not sure what else I am looking forward to.

What a way to drop the ball developers. You guys are lame.

Well, it's early in the morning here, I just wanted to see the patch notes before going to sleep.

Now I will go sleep and I hope I'll wake up, realizing this was all just a silly, bad dream. Surely they wouldn't just make FC Houses purchasable without FC affiliation, same (insanely high) price, same (limited) place and slap a "Personal Housing" tag on them, right?

I completely agree. While having personal housing be the same price as FC house is ridiculous, it's even MORE ridiculous to me that Personal Housing will be shared in FC housing wards. Why in the hell did they combine the wards?!

I could maybe deal with the prices, MAYBE. But making people fight other individual players AND FCs for land, that's just really messed up.
While I'm not really one of them, there are a lot of ppl (friends included) that were really excited for this & now are completely bummed out.

It does seem kind of odd doesn't it? I'd like to think they would have thought, "Well, idk guys this might piss a lot of people off... :/"
But nope, they were like,
"They'll love this... Why would anyone hate having to pay for a Personal House that essentially is a FC house for the exact same prices FCs pay for?! And oh! while we're at it, lets just lump them in the same ward, they'll love it!..... Two wards should be enough right?"...

Personal Housing should have been an instance similar to that of XI's Mog House/Mog Garden. Originally in 1.0 we were promised a Mog House, which I believe never came to pass. There was a NPC in each city 1.0 that used to state "This is the residential housing district beyond these gates." (Or something to that effect) It should have been talking to that NPC put you in your own area with a Small House and a Fence like our plots are for FCs but personal. You would have not had neighbors yes. But let's be honest with the rush that there is going to be of rich people buying houses on their mains and alts, we aren't going to have the luxury of our friends being our neighbors anyway. This way would have made it so everyone got a personal house. They could have even put a 1M price tag on it to gain initial entry. But at least it would have been an option that could not be taken away by other players. It could have even been separate price tags 1M, 15M, 40M and depending how much you paid decided what size house in your personal instance with the option to pay for a upgrade in the future.

The issue is that even if they double the amount in both old and new, it's not even close to being enough for the people who want to participate. Not even close.

Typical theme park, the one ride I've been looking forward to is broken. Way to develop Yoshi& Co.!

I'll chime in here too. I was very excited for personal housing and now SE has knocked the wind out of my sails.

I saved and have enough to get a plot, however, I don't like the idea of competing with FC's for already limited plots; this doesn't seem fair to the FC's. I don't like the idea of personal housing sharing FC wards where it's going to be subject to the "don't login and lose your property" rule... especially considering the current land values.

I also don't enjoy being blatantly lied to by being told that personal housing costs would be independent of FC housing and at a fraction of the cost only to have SE turn around and say HA HA JK!

Bad form SE... bad form.

Then it'd just be FC private rooms without the FC. Personally, this doesn't feel half as interesting to me as wards we can travel around, go in and out of our house, and all that. I understand that some people don't want to be in FCs, but...the functionality for instanced rooms is already there.
