In all the other MMOs with a dungeon finder tool that I played if you need to get something done as in guild tells you about a rare spawn that just came up or you got to repair that takes a min or two most people don't mind waiting it isn't even a big deal. It is the norm for MMOs to be able to leave a dungeon temp and then go back. FFXIV is the first game I seen that doesn't let you do this.Quote:

Probably nothing good.... Luckily the group doesn't have to wait someone for these things.... Else it would be a chaos, dungeons could take a lot if we have to wait 10 minutes every time someone has to do something for themselves....
With all respect, no offense.... DON'T QUEUE if you love so much to kill S.... Do spiritbonding in the open world, or wait in mor dhona to some S to appear... That stuff.
Hunt did so much damage to some aspects of the game... -

I doubt someone would agree to kick you just to.... Go kill a S, though...You can't compare going out because a repair (You won't do the dungeon at its maximum, delaying the group) or to change to a better class... Than... Just freely delay the group for your own sake. -

While i agree with the whole leaving quickly to do stuf; although in this game that would be limited tp repair since you cannot respec or require mats for something. The annoying part is this would result into people leaving constantly, making dungeons even more of a bore.Quote:

In addition, in those games, their instancing systems work completely differently.
But here's the trade-off as well: If you're free to leave a dungeon and come back, then that means lockouts and other shenanigans. The reason you've never joined a group and ended up in an empty dungeon because someone didn't reset is because of the way the game works.
You basically want to throw that away. And don't say "they won't!" because even *that other game* had issues like that for a long, long time (up through cataclysm i remember it happening). The only reasons for leaving and returning involve inventory management. You're gonna have to decide which of the 50 pairs of boots you want to keep. -

Leaving the dungeon to do a hunt is not a valid reason, choose well your content.
